Carla Davies and Jack Millar ran the fastest parkrun times in the UK this weekend (22nd June).

Our weekly parkrun top ten is now sponsored by the Coggiola Endurance Centre, a residential coaching and performance facility in the Italian Alps. Follow on Instagram for more updates in the new future.

At Fleetwood Promenade parkrun Carla Davies was the gold dust woman with 17:07. The Preston Harriers’ run was one of Dreams but it’s not a parkrun best for the 16:48 5k runner who equalled her 5k pb at the Christleton 5K in May.

Jack Millar was running his own way at University parks and crossed the finish line first in 15:04. The Bristol and West AC athlete has an excellent 5k PB of 14:05 from earlier in 2024 at the Podium Festival 5K in March, followed by a debit marathon of 2:27:04 at London in April.

The best of the rest

Just three seconds behind Davies was Andrea Clement at Dulwich parkrun who was second fastest women in 17:10. The V40 athlete runs for Blackheath and Bromley and has been under 17 minutes for parkrun, 5000m and 5k this year with 16:56, 16:34 and 16:32 respectively.

Jessica Anne Craig of North Down AC was third fastest with 17:25 at the super quick Belfast Victoria parkrun.

Both second spots on the podium this weekend went to Dulwich parkrun as Daniel Mulryan was one second quicker than 2:16 marathoner Paul Martelletti at Milton Keynes parkrun. It comes one week after Mulryan ran 8:35.07 for 3000m on the 12th June, then 8:54.73 on the 15th June… and added the 1500m 4:12.80 on the same day.

The fastest course?

With two second spots it feels like Dulwich is in a strong place before I even look down the list. There were two other events featuring twice, Holyrood and Walsall Arboretum, but the podium spots for the south-east London clinch the title this week.
