Tracy Barlow and Alex Milne are your fastest athletes at UK parkruns this weekend (July 27th).
This weekend at Great Denham parkrun, GB distance runner Tracy Barlow showed great form to run under seventeen minutes and top this week’s rankings. The 2:30 marathoner is targeting a road 10k race in the new future. We’re excited to see how quick she goes.
Alex Milne was the quickest male runner this weekend with a 15:15 at Fulham Palace. The Enfield & Haringey AC athlete takes another second from his parkrun best, but biggest performance of 2019 is still, just, his 2:20:08 run at the London Marathon.
Jessica Learmonth, of Leed City AC, is another to PB this weekend at parkrun. Her 17:03 was 20 seconds quicker than her previous best. At first glance you might be mistaken that Jessica is solely a parkrun fan, but given a bike and a swimming cap, the GB triathlete has been known to win major championships, such as the 2017 European Championship.
Ben Davies was first finisher at Redcar in 15:18, a wee bit slower than his 5k best of 14:01 set at Ipswich Twilight earlier this year, but the middle distance runner was likely just using the event as a bit of endurance training during the track season. Davies has also PB’d at 1500, 3000 and 5000m on the track in 2019, so he’s on fire.
Fife Ac’s Anna Hedley is no stranger to parkrun and a 17:28 at St. Andrews parkrun puts her third on this week’s list. Like Davies, Hedley as been excelling on the track this summer and the U17 has new PBs of 4:30.57 for 1500m and 9:45.50 for 3000m to show for it.
Once again Bushy Park is the place to be if you want to run quick times, with runners in both the male and female rankings at the event.
