Gabrielle Pinder returns to the top-spot of the women’s rankings, a fortnight after her last appearance. Then, she ran 16:43 to set a parkrun ‘PB’. This week, the U15 athlete was an impressive twelve seconds faster, running 16:31 at Albert parkrun in Middlesbrough. Since her last appearance she has won the 800m and 1500m at the North Eastern Counties Championships, and is continuing her fine start to the year.
Jack Kavanagh sites top of the men’s rankings this weekend, after running 14:25 at Dulwich. A South London favourite, the course has seen plenty of fast times including for Jack. This is his second visit to the course, having also run at the Podium 5k here last April. That time is Jack’s second fastest parkrun, behind only his 14:10 at Poole in early February. Another athlete with an excellent year so far, Jack has three sub-14 minute 5ks to his name in 2025.
Best of the Rest
Alex Lane’s 16:47 at Poole and Megan Stenhouse’s 17:11 at Riverside see them join Gabrielle on the women’s podium. The men’s top-three is completed by Cameron Clark (14:55) and William Cork (15:00). It is a South London podium, with the pair running at Battersea and Dulwich respectively.
Fastest Course
With a first and third place, this weekend the title of fastest course goes to Dulwich.
