Twenty athletes will represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the World Cross Country Championships on Saturday 10 January.
A team of 20 athletes has been selected for the World Cross Country Championships which take place in Tallahasse (Florida) on Saturday 10 January.
Many of the team competed at the recent European Cross Country Championships in Portugal. They include all four of the senior women’s team, led by individual silver medallist Megan Keith. She is joined by fellow team silver medallists Phoebe Anderson, Verity Ockenden and Poppy Tank. The men’s team includes Rory Leonard, who will compete at this event for the first time since 2019, and David Mullarkey. Previously based in Tallahassee at Florida State University, the Isle of Man athlete knows the course well. They are joined by Jacob Cann and Matt Ramsden, the latter in his senior Great Britain debut.
Alex Millard and Adam Fogg return for the mixed relay, in which they won bronze at the 2024 edition. With each runner completing two kilometres, they are joined by Stateside-based George Couttie and India Weir in her Great Britain debut.
