2018 winner and course record holder, David Flynn will line-up in the Men’s field in the KBC Dublin Half Marathon, taking place this Saturday, 21st of September.
The Clonliffe Harrier will be looking to make it back to back wins. He will face opposition from Yared Derese, the reigning national half-marathon champion. The Carrick Aces man also won the Frank Duffy 10 Mile which is part of the KBC Race Series, in convincing style in August.
2015 winner, Eoin Callaghan will also be in the mix alongside Olympian Mark Kenneally, David Mansfield, Fikru Teshager and Paul Stephenson.
In the Women’s field, Raheny’s Fiona Stack will be the key contender with an open field battling it out for second and third place.
Jim Aughney Race Director said: “It will be fantastic to see 9,000 runners lining up for the sold-out KBC Half Marathon this weekend. For many of these runners taking to the Phoenix Park on Sunday, this race is a key training milestone in preparation for the big day on Sunday 27th of October, when 22,500 runners will take to the streets of Dublin for the 40th anniversary year of the KBC Dublin Marathon.”
