It looks like Jamaica may have another sprinting superstar, after 12-year-old Brianna Lyston posted a record time at the Jamaican Boys and Girls Championships over the weekend.
Incredibly, 12-year-old Brianna won the 200m race with a time of 23.72 seconds, less than 2 1/2 seconds of the senior world record set US track star Florence Griffith-Joyner at the 1988 Olympics.
It’s no surprise that the young female athlete is drawing comparisons to the fastest man alive Usain Bolt.
